The End Of America - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down (The Band Cover)

So good. I can listen to these guys sing all day.

If you dig Inide/Folk music and beautiful harmonies, you need to check this out right now.

Good Old War makes me incredibly happy.

It Leaked is (supposedly) shutting down! This is great news for all bands, and fans with integrity.

No it isn’t. I discovered so much great music (that I ended up buying) on there. For fucks sake, that’s where I discovered one of my favorite bands, that would later because some of my very best friends.

Like it’ll matter. Leaking is still going to happen regardless. That being said I understand that recording an album or even an EP in a professional studio can cost thousands to tens of thousands of dollars. To have so irresponsible person leak an album can be frustrating I’m sure. But we live in a digital age and we have been since the late 90’s and early 2000’s when napster and limewire were around.

Like Val I’ve found many great bands because I was a douche and downloaded the leak. I usually buy a vinyl copy of the record if can and try to see the band perform live and buy some much if possible.

In a way I feel it’s a double edge sword. It sucks to go through all that hard work just for someone to out it online before the release. Although many people can hear/share an album and spread it like wildfire and I feel like most people will support a band by buying the real thing and catching a show if they’ve pirated something.

We live in a digital age where everything and anything is available at our fingertips. It’s just something we all have to deal with.

A Great Big Pile of Leaves - “We Don’t Need Our Heads” (Chalk TV)

Nothing makes me happier than this band’s music.

If you’re not listening to the music topshelf records puts out, then you’re missing out on some really wonderful music in life.

If anyone can sell me a ticket to the front bottoms on July 10th at the space I’d love you. a lot.
